Engaging ripples
Engaging Ripples was also one of the pieces i produced for my MFA projects in 2006 under the theme- WATER: medium, idea, and concept for sculpture. In some places in Africa, the rivers and other bodies of water have been seen as communal boundaries. The water ripples and their interlocking movements reminds us that water is not a boundary, rather, it is a meeting point of all people. I got silt(sand from the bottom of the river), and created the ripple-like effect to show the marriage of people, cultures and places.
